Three steps, no dashboard to learn. This page will be revised once the launch build and Play listing are final.
1. Install
lumina vpn is Android only, for Android 8.0 and newer.
Get it from Google Play once the listing goes live. Sideloaded builds outside Play are not supported.
2. Create your account
There's no email sign-up. When you first open the app, it generates an account number for you.
Your account number is your credential. Anyone who has it can use your subscription. Write it down somewhere safe (a password manager is ideal). If you lose it and clear app data, we have no email or phone number to recover it with.
There's no password to forget and nothing tying the account to your identity beyond that number.
3. Connect
Open the app and tap the large circular button. That's the whole flow. By default the app is on Auto and picks an available exit for you. If you want a particular city, tap Change and choose Helsinki, Nuremberg, London or Ashburn; changing the exit reconnects the tunnel.
- Tap once to connect. Android will show its own "VPN connected" system notice; that's normal.
- Tap again to disconnect.
- The route card shows which city and exit you're on.
What the status states mean
- ConnectedTunnel is up. Your traffic is routed through the exit over WireGuard.
- Not connectedYour traffic goes over your normal network connection, unprotected by the app.
- Connected, but nothing loadsThe tunnel came up but something about it isn't healthy (for example the handshake keeps failing or the relay path is unstable). Treat this as effectively unprotected and see troubleshooting.
